Harvard Virtual Colonoscopy Course

HMS logoBWH logoMGH logo
Sponsored by Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital

Virtual Colonoscopy is a promising new method of screening for colorectal cancer and precursor lesions (polyps). Since the technology is new, few radiologists, technologists or gastroenterologists have the experience to understand and interpret these studies. The Brigham offers hands-on training in performing and reading virtual colonoscopy studies. The two-day course also covers the state of the art in virtual colonoscopy and discusses administrative issues in creating a VC service.

This two-day structured course includes:

  • Didactic lecture
  • Demonstrations and tutorials on state-of-the-art workstations
  • Review of cases from our pathology-proven database
