BWH Services The Brigham is a leading center for virtual colonoscopy. We perform virtual colonoscopy on a daily basis. Patients who wish to undergo virtual colonoscopy at the Brigham should refer to our information on scheduling a VC exam. In addition, we offer a Harvard-sponsored minicourse on virtual colonoscopy, which provides hands-on training in performing and interpreting virtual colonoscopy. CME credit is available for the course. The Brigham also conducts research on virtual colonoscopy. Current projects include, among other topics, computer-aided detection (CAD) of polyps, improvements to the pre-exam prep, and computer-driven methods for eliminating stool and residual fluid from images. |
